Att: Clark Supporters......."GET READY"
I just returned from the Tampa area Draft Clark meeting in Saint Petersburg.

Word from Arkansas is that Clark will announce his candidacy Wednesday 9/17/03

The local area website here in Florida, http://www.gulfcoastforclark.com/ is up with a generic start page and will be updated throughout the week with the help of my wife with input from all over the Florida. Area. and should be official by this Friday ( Pop-Up Blocker Software Must Be Disabled To Access the Site )

FYI: For those in the area, an announcement party will be held on Friday 9/19/03 at the Ruby Tuesdays restaurant located in the Brandon Square Mall in Brandon Florida, on Hwy 60 just east of Hwy 75 at 7:00 PM.

This is going to be Sooooooo awesome!

12. It could be that the Clark supporters are getting a little "testy"
because they're tired of putting of with crap from the Dean followers (who remind me more and more each day of Bush groupies).

33. It does suck for Edwards but I wasn't even aware that he had
not announced yet. I find it disingenuous that some people bust Clarks chops for not running before his announcement.

Edwards seems like a very nice and worthy man but I do not believe he has any realistic shot at the nomination.

9. Clark to Speak at EVS 20
I should be able to tape General Clark's keynote speech at the 20th Electric Vehicle Symposium in Long Beach in November. I just learned last week that he'll be speaking. The EDTA (former the EVAA) usually lets me tape all the keynotes, and hopefully this year will be no exception. Should be interesting to hear what he has to say since EVS has traditionally been a venue to debuting hybrid, fuel cell and battery electric vehicle technology.

Clark has made the comment that we need to plan for the next 100 years, not the next four. In the case of building more sustainable transportation systems, he's right on the money. The trick will be getting the SUV-obsessed American public behind him and the carmakers to stop dragging their feet on mileage standards. Clark's company Wavecrest wants to be a player in this new arena, but it will take more than cool technology and lofty rhetoric to move this nation in a more responsible direction transportation-wise.

tomarrow I get new batteries for the hearing aid, when Little Rock comes out Iowa or Ohio, it's time for a change, at least I got the day right, didn't I?

On edit: If it does turn out to be Iowa or Ohio, I'm gonna be pissed for buying batteries for nothing :>)

34. I'll be onboard.
Just as soon as he says the word, I'm in. I've had a firm belief for a couple of months that he'd announce, but lately I've become frustrated with the delays. While the strategy behind playing it this way is pretty obvious, I was pleasantly surprised to see it work as effectively as it has. The Buzz is out there. He'll announce he's in and when he does, I'll commit, too.

here's to it,
ronzo

37. You know?
I started this thread to give a heads up on what I had heard at the meeting tonight, and it was said tonight that somewhere "Karen Hughs and Karl Rove" were somewhere in a room crapping their pants at the thought of "flightsuit" facing a man like Clark.

With all the sniping going on from the Dean crowd every time a Clark thread pops up, maybe, just maybe, Karen & Karl aren't the only ones a bit worried by a Clark announcement.

I fail to see the point of a Dean supporter entering a Clark thread just to stir the pot.

In the words of Tommy Chong: Can't we all just get a bong?
