None of the Dem Presidential Candidates Are Acceptable
Here's why based on a thoughtful analysis of each candidate:

Dean: Too short to go toe-to-toe with W in a one-on-one debate.

Edwards: Don't like that thing he does with his thumb when he's gesturing.

Gephardt: Can't trust any politician from the same state as Ashcroft.

Graham: That minute-by-minute personal log sounds weird.

Kerry: Remember what happened to the last Presidential candidate from Massachusetts?

Kucinich: Too homely.

Lieberman: Disrespected Tom Harkin by failing to show at the Steak Fry.

Moseley-Braun: How can she make the tough calls as President if she can't even decide on a single last name?

Sharpton: Bad hair.

Clark: Don't know his problem yet, but I'm sure I can find one once he announces his candidacy.

4. What IS that thumb thing they do?
Edited on Sun Sep-14-03 10:20 PM by draftcaroline
I've seen Gephardt do it, and Dole---well Dole is understandable, but what about the rest of them? That and the presidential lip thing. What do they mean in body language?

ed: Here's my list:

Clark: Looks like a mortician.

Graham: Looks like the landlord.

Edwards: Can spell potato. Too clever for his looks.

Gephardt: Make-up!!!

Kerry: Lurch, the Addams family butler.

Kucinich: Elliot the hopeless neurotic from Bob Newhart Show.

Lieberman: Whiner voice.

Sharpton: Tawana.

Dean: Has a smile ominously like a Kool-Aid pitcher.

7. That Thumb Thing
Copying Dole's mannerisms doesn't seem like the best strategy for becoming President.

I hadn't noticed Gephardt doing it, I'll keep an eye out for that.

10. In Lieberman's defense
(and I don't like him at all) he's an orthodox Jew, and therefore can't Chooses not to)go anywhere on the Sabbath he can't walk to. It apparently wasn't possible for him to overnight in Indianola and then walk the mile or so to the Steak Fry.

I try to respect other people's personal beliefs, but I'm not convinced that someone who allows his religion to dictate his life in that way can really fill the job of president effectively, even though (back in 2000) he reassured us that he'd have not trouble fulfilling his duties.

11. If you can't find nothing that suits you among these
you're not going to find anyone who will satisfy you.I see alot of vison in our candidates, each one brings there own quailities to the race.I'm personally, firm behind Clark. But I don't have a problem with any of the rest, well maybe Liberman.I like that Clark is new to politics and a fresh face.He has dealt with foriegn governments and has been educated to great degree on many domestic issues. He is a man who can grow into the presidency. He won't have the Texas style attitude that Bush has.I see a great potential to bring people into our great family of Democrats with Wesley Clark, also Howard Dean. They both have magnetic personalities. But if they don't rock your boat, you can choose someone else, after all it's still a free country.at least for now,it may not be so free if we don't get a Democratic victory in 2004.
