Has anyone ever suggested an organized, well-publicized boycott
of all the companies that donate to Bushco, advertise on Fox, sponsor Limbaugh and Hannity, etc.? This seems like a really good idea to me. Sure, the list may be long, but they all have competitors. Why can't this be done?

1. "Buy nothing week"
Adbusters' "buy nothing week" is about the closest you're going to get to a boycott of pro-Shrub business. Basically every major financial concern has donated to or has ties with the hard-right wing of the GOP. Check the membership list of the American Enterprise Insitute and the Heritage Foundation if you want proof.

There really is no competition for these groups because they are America from the banks to the weapons builders.

3. Well, yeah
I realize you may not be able to switch banks, but not going to Wal-mart and not buying Scott's fertilizer is easy.

2. Ah, the power of Google
I see there are several boycott sites. Unfortunately, I hadn't heard of them. I'd like to see them expanded to include sponsors of right-wing propaganda. This is something I could really get behind. It certainly seems like the best way, besides voting, to hurt them.
