Cherie's 'guru': kiss n tell or kiss of death?
Edited on Mon Sep-15-03 04:36 AM by emad aisat sana
Reports in the UK's Sunday Times note that Cherie Blair's so-called lifestyle guru Carole Caplin is threatening to publish a kiss n tell about Downing Street. She is said to be 'incandescent' with rage about events following the confiscation of her security pass to No 10 earlier in April this year and is said to have compared herself to the mysteriously demised WMD expert Dr David Kelly. The paper also says Caplin believes herself to be the victim of a surveillance operation:

This may or may not be good news in the UK. In the US, however, the publication of Caplin's revelations would mean very poor news for Senator Hillary Clinton. Carole is well known in media circles to be privy to Cherie's innermost confidences about the Monica Lewinsky business, and her immense attraction to Bill. If Hillary is serious about her own senate campaign in 2006, preserving the very best illusions of a patched up marriage are definitely part of the voting strategy.

As for Caplin, her literary ambitions may yet be thwarted if recent memory lapses about her days as a topless model suddenly surface, particularly her association with Russian money launderers in the 1980s, now rehabilitated and living in the UK under respectable pseudonyms.
