Did Cheeney's interview make anyone else sick?
I know this has probably been discussed but I was out all day and just read the transcript with Cheeney from Meet the Press. Talk about making me want to vomit. I don't where to start in lies and denials from most of Iraq being secure, expense and post war occupation forces requires, claims of WMD, denials of ambassador Wilson's investigation, flip flopping on his early fiscal conservative positions and claiming Bush and he are deficiet hawks and this list can go on and on. I should have know better to start my morning by reading that.

2. Gravitas
Remember that Cheney is supposed to give "gravitas" to Bush.

The logic works something like this: You can't take Dubya seriously but Cheney isthe experienced, elder statesman, therefore everything Cheney says must be true.

So the lies are more convincing if Cheney tells them AND Timmy Russert lets him get away with them unchallenged.

What bothers me most is that they don't back down. They compound one lie on top of another so that the opposition (that's us) spends whatever precious air time we can get countering the lies and not offering viable solutions. Hence, we get the "Bush Hater" moniker and accused of having no alternatives to offer.

I get so pissed I could just SCREAM!

6. I here you
and want to scream to. I kept waiting to read the follow up questions challenging Cheeney's assertions but it was on to the next one. It astonishes me how these lies and propaganda are tolerated and not seriously challenged in our media. Sadley they are telling them long enough and people believe it (stating Iraq and 9/11 making people believ that Saddam was involved). Bush would have looked like a total bumbling fool if he had to go on an hour interview and Rove knows better then to put him in that position. It seems like everyone in the administration is hitting the media circuit trying to spin this disastor from Cheeney, Powell, Wolfolowitz, Rice and Rumsfeld. Everyone except Shrub of course. It's pretty sad if our "President" can't get up and defend his policies.

3. At least Russert was there to represent the American people
and questioned him like he did Kerry and Dean. Cross-questioning and re-cross-questioning with previous statements and hard facts. Oh, that's right, it was one question, accept the answer as gospel, and move on. Pretty worthless.

8. Thats the sad, awful truth!
Either Russert was too scared to really behave like a journalist or he is just purely an arm of the propoganda machine of this shameless administration.

4. It was absolutely nauseating. Russert was like a ventriloquist's dummy
mouthing the questions provided by Chaney's staff.

5. I need my tv so I don't look at his evil face...
so what's new? Cheney is a natural born-evil lier. The bushies are in major crisis in the US and abroad. Pooppy Sr and old hag Baba, are in Russia right now doing little man bushie's job. The Guardian of UK article states how Russians believe that Pooppy Sr is the president in the shadows. Pooppy is the real president.

11. Yes, Cheney literally did
make me sick on Sunday. My stomach was turning more and more until I had to turn it off half way through. I did catch Cheney saying that after he gets the $87 billion, it will be enough -- FOR THIS YEAR.

He denied knowing Wilson and said he didn't see any report. He said he didn't know anything about the bin Laden family being flown out of the US. He is totally incompetent and doesn't know anything. But I rather think he is the biggest liar in the world.

Now, when he gets asked any of these questions, he can say that this was all discussed before, over and over again.

12. Another whore w/ his pimp
How could Russert pass this up: from Chaney
"So to suggest that there is no evidence there that he had aspirations to acquire nuclear weapon, I don’t think is valid..."

Via Whistleass' SOTU address in Jan:
"The International Atomic Energy Agency confirmed in the 1990s that Saddam Hussein had an advanced nuclear weapons development program..."

C'mon, Tim, what the fuck are they paying you for! Colter could done a more investigative interview.

Did Pimp Dick threaten you?
