Add to the cost of war . . hurricane Isabel |
|
I heard on news this morning that the cost of plywood had risen to an all time him of about $16 per sheet and there is a shortage for the people on the east coast trying to protect their property partially because of the high demand for it in the "rebuilding of Iraq".
So this war again is costing people more!! And instead of the government trying to help people here . . . .

2. There is no shortage of plywood...just one more chance to gouge... |

...the consumer when they really have to have something. The same principle applies to gasoline...the prices go up right before big holidays when people have to travel, and drop again after the holiday is over.
Just wait...the "shortage" of plywood will disappear by Monday of next week and prices will drop.

All predictions so far places Isabel making landfall in an area that rarely experiences hurricanes, hence the building codes are sub-par and many homes won't survive.
Also, I've read where FEMA has blown most of their budget meaning Dimbo will have to whine for Billions more.
