Was the patriot act written by the PNAC?
Its suspicious to me that such a long and well thought out act could be thrown together as fast as it supposedly was. Has anybody researched this?

1. Handcuff dissent
2. Attack Iraq
3. take over world

PNAC plan

2. They probably wrote it 10 years ago
And were just waiting until they stole the presidency to enact it. If 9/11 didn't happen, they would have used something else to justify it.

3. Viet Dinh wrote the majority of it
He's in Ashcroft's DOJ. I don't know if he has any association with PNAC, past or present.

4. It was presented first as a Democratic sponsored bill
Back in 1998 it was put forward as a Democratic bill to fight terrorism. The GOP rightly voted against it. Now since their guy presented it they all get on board and say it is a good thing.

5. Yes. Much of the PA was drawn from Israeli anti-terrorism laws..

And of course, much of PNAC is tied to Likud-run Israel. Perle, Wolfowitz, Abrams, Bolton, Feith, and others, have all worked for the Likud in one capacity or another. As PNAC's plan on Iraq was basicly designed by these people, in an effort to increase Israeli power in the region, it figures they would also be involved in drafting laws that could be used against political dissenters who might not agree with their plans for hegemony and fascist world domination.

7. more likely the Federalist Society
also neoconservative like PNAC, but the groups aren't identical. PNAC is obviously focused on international issues, FS on legal ones.

8. Bob Graham
From his official bio:

Relevant EXCERPT...

As chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence in the 107th Congress, Graham led efforts to improve our nation’s intelligence agencies. Since the horrific events of September 11th, 2001, he has been a leader in refocusing and strengthening the nation’s counterterrorism efforts.

He was a primary author of the USA PATRIOT Act, which President George W. Bush signed into law in October 2001. Among other steps, it mandates greater information sharing among foreign intelligence and domestic law-enforcement agencies to help fight a unified war on terrorism. Graham also was the chief sponsor of a five-year plan for bolstering our intelligence capabilities, contained in the Fiscal Year 2002 and 2003 Intelligence Authorization Bills.
