8. He's my favorite...by far
I've never seen or heard anyone who can hold an audience in the palm of his hands like Bill Clinton can. His oratory skills are right up there with John and Robert Kennedy and Martin Luther King. In some ways he is a centrist in that he absolutely tries to please everyone. And he is widely respected throughout the world. I recall watching a C-Span cast where he was addressing a formal gathering just after dinner, black coats and ties and such. He was encouraging everyone to pitch in and help and lead by example. And the audience was nodding in agreement. Then, out of the blue, he suggested that they could start helping out by bussing their own tables and carrying the dishes to the kitchen. You could hear a pin drop in the deafening silence. The people there looked confused as to what to do. Then he smiled and the place broke out in laughter. It was a classic.

12. They named a school after him ALREADY?????
Ha that is awesome. Reagan gets a aircraft carrier and Clinton gets a school, much better legacy.

15. That's what he said, UP
Said lots of things are named for presidents (cited Washington Bridge, for instance), but he is truly honored to have a public school bear his name.

7. Last year was tough for Democrats, what with 9/11 and all.
CA loves Clinton, however.

Clinton also puts his shoulders behind the biggest battles. He's only there because this is very important battlefield for Democracy. The media is putting all its weight behind Arnold, and Clinton is putting all his weight behind democracy.

Clinton definitely isn't hurting Davis, but this will show us what is a stronger institution in America, the fascist Republican media, or liberal democracy.

13. All the Dems he campaigned for who lost in 2000
were well behind to begin with. He also campaigned with several candidates who won (Jennifer Granholm, for example). Try parroting something other than dittohead talking points. BTW, Clinton's quite popular in California, and there's a new appreciation for him nationally after what Chimpy has done to the economy, for starters.

17. Clinton could kick ass any day of the week.

The Dems in CA need to come out swinging, forget the crying repugs and the complacent media and mop the floor with Ahh-nolds butt.

9. It is truly good of him to use his popularity
to help other Dems and to get the truth told.

and, I hope he has some stock in that South Beach Diet book, as it looks as though it's really worked for him! :-)
