Arnold lies to Oprah!
"Trying to soften his image with women voters, Schwarzenegger assured talk show host Oprah Winfrey on Monday that reports of a salacious, party-hard past were more tall tale than truth and do not bear on his run for California governor."

That is an outright lie!

3. I hate to say it, but
If the choices were McClintock or Arnold I'd vote for McClintock. At least McClintock sticks to his principals, as nutty as they are. This is not the time for amateurs.

8. Please read my order of candidates....
Davis, Bustamante, Huffington, Camejo, McClintock!!!

This is the order in which I would choose them! Gray Davis is first because he is the sitting Governor and he deserves to finish his term out! Though I do not live California I ask that all Californians vote NO TO THE RECALL and YES ON BUSTAMANTE!!!

I would choose McClintock over Arnold ANYDAY!!! To Tom's defense he has a GREAT DEAL of knowledge on the budget issues and actually knows how the Government works! Also, he does not have any of Pete Wilson's SCUM BAG freinds working for him!

I would not worry to much about his pro-gun, anti-abortion stances! The heavily Democratic legislature can override him and prevent him from getting such legislation through!

4. dysfunction dysfunction dysfuntion
Oprah can have Dr. Phil on her show until the cows come home, but if she stays in denial of Schartzeneggar's sexual abuse of women because she's buds with Maria - it's no different than covering up for a dysfuncitional family member because they make pleasant chit chat at Thanksgiving dinner.

How's that working for ya, Ope?

How is that denial working for you Oprah?
You have a lot of influence in this country...warranted
or not, but if you choose to use it, back it with
a lot of information that's out there.

I am one of the few DUers who think Dr Phil makes a lot of sense. He should talk some sense into Oprah. She has tons of influence with women voters. For her to have that pig on her show because she is friends with Maria gags me.
So now the whole thing didn't happen, he made it all up? Even if true doesn't make him any less a pig.

21. Because Oprah is dysfunctional!!!
She is blinded by her freindship with Maria plus she's in it for the money, or in this case ratings! Scream all you want at this comment but I DO NOT see why women so STUPIDLY follow Oprah around? All you do is enrich her wallet while emptying her own!

6. Disappointed in Oprah
Years ago, she said she would never do politics on her show. The Arnold show is about as political as they come. Giving one candidate 50 minutes of air time before an adoring audience--whether Dem or Repub--is unfair. I admired her principles, and am disappointed that she set them aside for ratings. The Arnold show is the debut show for Oprah's new season.

Her shows not political? Didja forget the famous W kiss? (his ratings improved after that). Did you forget her "war is good" shows?
And, I got news for Arnie: you don't get to decide what bears on the campaign and what doesn't. Voters do. Lies are relevant as VRWC told us non-stop.
And with a bit more time, people will find out about more of your lies.

30. After her audience massively protested her warmongering shows
she had a "maybe?" ambiguous one. I don't watch that trash but people here were anticipating a turnaround and were quite disappointed. Do you remember how she was clamoring for Clinton's impeachment? "If the CEO of a corporation would do that, he'd be fired" (notice the profoundly GOP identification of government with a corporation). She is a shill - through and through.

Here's a few gossipy items for starters:

April 26, 2001 -- Arnold Schwarzenegger dropped out of the California gubernatorial race a day after learning that the National Enquirer would be publishing front-page allegations of an extramarital affair, The Post has learned.

I like it because it has the Shriver matter of fact story: "If I get raped, he'd leave me beacuse I'd be damaged goods" Someone who is on Oprah's board may want to post it - since I'm sure Opra didn't ask her friend about that.

38. Lil devils advocate time
What if when he told these stories he was a typical guy and was just BSing(certainly not unheard of for guys). It is normal for rock stars to exagerate the sex part of the road cause that is expected. He was, after all trying to make himself a star. He might have been talking big figuring it would never matter in his life whether it was true or just talk.

I am not saying this is a fact but, this would also be a plausible explanation for it all.

Just wanting to throw a curve in...hee hee :P
