New segment on Tavis Smiley: two listeners invited to talk about news
Edited on Mon Sep-15-03 02:01 PM by AP
once a week.

Tavis wants more interaction with the listeners beyond reading listener mail and playing their voicemails. Since he doesn't broadcast live, he can't take phonecalls. Instead, he's asking regular listeners to email him. He'll pick two every Friday (I think he said) and just converse with them about what ever is on their minds in current events.

This is a great idea. It will give people a chance to get their views out completely unmediated by the press and by big media.

What do you want to bet a lot of people are going to want to talk about Bush's stewardship of the economy, and about how bad the rest of the media is?

I love this show.
