Clark on the 19th?
I have no idea where I got this but I have it in my head that there is some sort of campaign finance reporting deadline today (15th) and that Clark was waiting for it to pass before announcing is run and that he had a speach scheduled for this comming friday (19th) in Littlerock. I have it in my head that he will announce during that speach on friday. Does that sound about right to you all? Any facts?

Thom

Almost certainly the 17th in Little Rock. The U of Iowa press release says that they have been assured that Clark will announce one way or the other before his speech in Iowa City on the 19th.

On edit: University of Iowa News Release

3. The 19'th
Will be a major foreign policy speech in Iowa at the University. This probably will launch his new book and was scheduled long ago. Clark believes that since the containment policy of the Cold War, the US actually has NO policy. He's correct; which is why the PNACers were able to detect and fill the vacuum without debate. Clark has been thinking about the structure of such a policy for at least six years. I hope to God he has written down the unified field theory of foreign policy because quite frankly 'murika can't take much more of this leap in the wrong direction

...the 15'th business for reporting funds has never been clarified to my satisfaction and I can't help you. I've read many versions in these threads.

The buzz date for now will be 9/17 in Little Rock.

4. I read somewhere about that financial reporting deadline
on Sept. as well. Other posters here have said he'll announce on Wednesday.

5. September 30 is the deadline for reporting 3rd-quarter fundraising totals.

{The Dean} campaign announced last week that it will try to break the world record for the largest-ever conference call. That record, according to the good people at the Guinness Book of World Records, was set in September 2000, when 3,310 people rang into a call hosted by the British teen-pop group S Club 7.

Dean will host his call Sept. 29 -- the day before the deadline for reporting third-quarter fundraising totals -- when he will chat with supporters attending house parties for the candidate across the country. Campaign manager Joe Trippi declined to estimate how many people might join the call. But he promised to shatter the world record.

6. Will Hurricane Isabel drown out Clark's announcement?
Isabel is due to hit Thursday or Friday, and of course the media will play that up too.
