Poll question: Would the BFEE try to kill Clark if he runs prior to the Dem convention?
Considering all the tinfoil hat stuff that has been flying around, does anyone think that considering how much of a threat Clark is to Bush's re-selection, do you think he would try to do to him what happened to Robert Kennedy?

1. I think Bush would welcome a contest against Clark
I think it's totally unavoidable that a Clark candidacy will focus media and the public on national security and war, which, even if you criticize Bush's conduct of the war, is home field advantage for Republicans.

I think Bush would be more than happy to run against a candidate who doesn't make people think too hard about how unfair Bush has made the American economy, and therefore, American society.

8. Right, the Repukes have an advantage on national security...
...so a Clark run would whittle away at that myth. Although I'm still voting for Dean, Clark entering probably would be agood thing in the long run. I'm not really sure he'd get the nomination or be strongest against Dumbo. He has great military/national security credentials, but lacks in putting together a budget or actually governing something. Dumbo et al will bring the later up.

2. I'm curious
As to why there have been so many replies under no so far. Can anyone explain their reasoning? Obviously, I'm not voting in this one.

4. I voted no...
I don't believe all the conspiracies about the BFEE murdering its enemies.

I didn't believe the right-wing conspiracies that the Clintons have all their enemies killed, either.

3. Maybe, but I don't think its any more likely than with any other candidate
Maybe except Lieberman. They wouldn't kill him literally when they could kill him so easily electorally.

6. They don't dare be that direct
Generally, Busheviks kill people years in advance of their significance...like Wellstone.

Wellstone was a fighter and someone who's credibility could have lead to a run for Emperor that might have provided a tamper-proof victory under the right circumstances.

Plus they wanted his Senate seat so it was a two-fer (pehaps a Trifecta).

Busheviks learned from the backlash after they helped the Kennedy's and King to their final rewards that they cannot kill someone directly (accident works best and no one will remember) and they cannot take out someone directly in their path once it becomes clear they're in the Bushevik Path.

So Clark is probably safe.

7. I voted no because Clark isn't the candidate.
I don't think they'll be seriously thinking about offing anyone until they know who they're really up against.

10. I voted no because Clark so many years as an insider.
He has to much dirt on too many and he has it stashed in a "button down" mode. If he were dead his thumb would come off the "button."

Jeez I'm jaded.
