All the candidates should atleast have someone close monitoring our discussions, if they want good arguements. DU has lots of ideas to offer, real ideas about real things.

Call up Kerry's team and Dean's team and everyone else, and do live moderated chats taking questions for DU'ers.

We may not get the Dr Himself, but maybe some other member of the team could step up.

I like the idea of a Candidate's forum here, even if it was a submit-a-question type of format. Many of us are active in our local and state party organizations and it might be an opportunity for the candidates to gain supporters (and for DU to gain wider visibility).

That right there says a hell of a lot about our "democratic" electoral system. Raise the millions, "position" just right on the latest focus group results, pander depending on which part of the country you're in.....great system that encourages candidates to not be candid, but to be pampered liars.....er, I mean.... "candidates." Strange, but true.

Seriously, I would love that, b ut my guess is most of them either have no clue DU exists or would disavow any knowledge that DU exists.

We sorta out on the fringe with all the LIHOP talk and such.

Besides, real candidates couldn't do fun things like proclaim George W. Bush a traitor who caused 9/11 to happen when a Freeper is disrupting a thread so they could sit back and watch the Freeper's head explode.
