The American version of totalitarianism, post 9/11, comes closer to |
|
Aldous Huxley's conception of the perfect form of totalitarianism. He said in his BRAVE NEW WORLD, that the totalitarianism that the people want to embrace on their own will be more effective than a totalitarianism based on coercion. We now have a population that willingly submits to every form of intrusion and violation of its liberties with the rationale that these methods are needed to combat the terrorists. There is no evidence that the terrorists, like O.J. Simpson's wife's killer, will ever be caught. That keeps alive only the Terror threat.Of course, from time to time a new threat is released to keep the jaded population in line.

and how the Morlocks kept up the racial memory of air raids to herd their food supply underground - from time to time. I would argue that some forms of organized religion are used as a form of social control too. And the American Sheeple go right along with it.
