This morning, while enduring a cab ride, I heard him tell the story on the radio of what he thought was a foriegn policy failure by the u.s. in Yemen.
Before telling the story, he asked his audience to 'think all the way back to December 29th, 1992, when Bill Clinton was president' he enunciated the name 'Bill Clinton' so his audience would know who to blame and froth over.
I don't have to tell you what's factually wrong with that quote.
Isn't there some kind of law against blatant lying on the public airwaves? I know the fairness doctrine is out and they can slant coverage and spin and demagogue in one direction all they want, but isn't there some kind of law against just making shit up?
---Beck, btw, for those of you who don't know, was Clearchannels organizer for all of the pro-war rallies earlier this year. He's vile as can be.

2. Is he a liar or just a dope? |

I remember that fool when he was on around here. What a piece of work. Our local Clear Channel took him off for Dr. Laura. They have local programming in the early A.M. when Beck is on. WHEW!

4. I used to listen to WWDB.... |

96.5 FM before they destroyed talk radio in the Philly market.
Do you remember Irv Homer? He's on a small station in Bucks County- WBCB 1490 AM. Irv turned me onto politics and Libertarianism.
After reading Zinn, Chomsky, Parenti...I came to the realization that libertarianism isn't feasible. Libertarianism, as I see it, tends to embrace right-wing ideology. I beleive Irv is a closet socialist at heart.

You know, its really hard to keep your car on the road when you are frothing at the mouth, screaming bloody murder and beating your head against the steering wheel.
But I managed.
