I want to throw a pie at Al Sharpton.
I've never particularly cared for him and this seems a good way to express it.

When is his next public appearance?

2. My list of grievances with him is long
And I don't want to have that argument tonight. But it's not hard to find the trail of sleaze attached to Big Al. And don't get me wrong; he's one of the best speakers alive today. He's just really sorta full of shit.

22. He has had grandstanding issues in the past. He cleaned up pretty
good and I think he is a good leader. Guess who else 'cleaned up even more' and was an amazing leader: Malcolm X

It happens.

Arnold was a whoring, handy, steroid user.

Bush was a National Guard skipping cocaine addict for a decade at least... now them is felonies!!

29. Sharpton is awesome!
He has been greatly maligned by enemies who can't bear to see an independent Black man speak his mind. He speaks about things others don't want to hear about, so what better way to try to silence him than throw mud at him?

4. No, I don't like him
And apparently it is perfectly acceptable to throw pies at anyone I don't like in order to tell them to shut the fuck up.

8. I'm a pretty conservative Democrat
And I think people should actually own the suits they wear.

Hence, I'm not a big Sharpton fan.

14. I can respect that.
But hating him more than Richard Perle, Dick Cheney, President Bush?

At the end of the day, Al is relatively harmless and much less in need of humiliation than the other side.

16. I don't hate anyone, and I dislike Al less than I dislike Bush
But if I tried to throw a pie at Bush or Cheney, the Secret Service would shoot me.

12. Right. I'm a Freeper
I get Christmas cards from democratic senators, but I'm a freeper.

My family won a landmark civil rights case, but I'm a freeper.

I'm a Democrat down to my DNA. I just want to throw a pie at Al Sharpton.

10. I'm sensing some sarcasm here...
1.) The people who wish Al Sharpton ill control the media, the White House and both the Senate and the House...you (or they) are not starved of representation in America.

2.) Al Sharpton has NOT made acts of violence resulting in an obscene number of deaths (100,000 civilians; 80,000 military personnel in Iraq alone). Nor has he done anything similar to Bush's long list of dastardly deeds.

If you want to protest Al Sharpton by pie-ing him, that is your choice, but make sure the person you are pie-ing truly deserves it, that pie-ing (and similar actions) is one of the only ways left to express your opinion to the world and that you are willing to face the consequences of your choice.

Pie-ing neo-cons and other such disgusting individuals is warranted IMO, but it does not help us.

13. Well, Sharpton may be partially responsible for at least one death..
So, can i hit him with just a slice of pie?

Maybe a Hostess fruit pie? Though that may hurt.

17. Well,
you CAN, you CAN do a lot of things. However, one must make sure that a choice is the right thing to do.

If you want to, I can't stop you, but I strongly disagree with you hitting Al Sharpton with a Hostess fruit pie and I sincerely question your reasons for wanting to do so.

25. I'm honored...
I think.

And which gem should I choose from your humble collection of quips and quotes (all from this very page, may I add)?

"I want to throw a pie at Al Sharpton."

"He's just really sorta full of shit."

"I'm a Democrat down to my DNA."

"And I think people should actually own the suits they wear."

Nice talking to you.

18. Al Sharpton is not afraid
...to speak his version of the truth. Politicians could learn a little something from him, whether or not you agree with all he has to say or not.

I loved how at the Democratic convention the media didn't even know how to respond to his speech. You know you have done something right when the media is speechless. They can bullshit for hours over just about anything.

What was that qoute. "We're gonna ride that donkey to the end" ???
Preach it brother.

Apparently we are not supposed to notice when they take out all of our leadership.

Some of us are awake. I am all for seperation of church and state but we sure could use a few more preachers out there instead of this right wing apocalyptic disgrace taking center stage at the moment.

27. Are you a freeper looking to attack Al just like Joe - & then flip NY?
Cause that is on the agenda these days too. And it actually doesn't matter if Al were to flip and think (corporate donations should replace all welfare) or if Karl Rove just gets us to feel that Al is not a leader that the DUers should like. It will leave a bad taste in every Democrat involved's mouth and undo the leadership role Al has.. and the leadership role he would continue to have in the Democratic Party. Getting us to go after Al would separate the AA & non AA DUers. All Rove needs is 3% of the African American vote after all.

Simply loosening the tight relationship we have with Al will hurt the Democrats.

Put enough psychic pressure on someone and they may do a flip to get back to 'what used to feel like normal'. Al has previously attracted great interest by hoards of neocons running around going: "Al - have some Kool-Aid".

You should see those suckers run with Kool-Aid. Very talented at what they do.

IMHO:shrug:
