HURRICAINE ISABEL: Storm Surge maps
To anyone who might be affected by Isabel's storm surge:

Maps exist which indicate areas vulnerable to flooding by hurricaine storm surges, but they're not all in one convenient place.

Goggle "Storm surge maps" and your state.

Maps for North Carolina (currently the most likely place of landfall) are at http://www.ncstormsurge.com/comaps.html
and http://www.ncstormsurge.com/beaft.html has a conveninet illustration of what kind of flooding levels they're describing.

Residents of Virgina, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, and New York should also check maps for their areas, just in case it veers north.

1. I hope the storm does no harm,
but it would be nice if it hit DC, because religious nuts will think it means god doesn't like chimpy anymore!

2. Are you kidding?
They'll take it to mean whatever they want it to mean.

That's what they do.

4. Right. Extreme weather is another confirmation that
we're living in the "last days." Four Horsmen of the Apocalypse? Bring 'em on!

5. I'm in DC
What if the religious nuts think it means god doesn't like me anymore?

That would suck, because I've been trying so hard to impress them.
