Brace yourself... a new low has been reached
I didn't plan on waking up to watch the funeral, but I guess my body had other ideas. So, I was just cuddled up in the big-butt living room chair with the cat and dog watching television. Get this: THE CORPORATE MEDIA HEADS ARE COMMENTATING THE FUCKING FUNERAL!!

:puke:

I'm going back to bed; may I wake up to discover this has only been a sickening dream.

the pre-game shit was getting toooo insipid. I knew I couldn't stand the 'show'. Too bad the BBC isn't covering it. Too bad, but not surprised. In fact BBC America is running 'Monty Python' which I feel is completely appropriate. (humming 'Every Sperm is Sacred')

8. Good luck to your sanity, applegrove.
My attempts to get my "Repuke/MSM tolerance" up always result in me feeling miserable.

10. I love CNN. I enjoyed watching all those people together. Was a good
experience watching. So many leaders from Middle East & other religions. Was quite poignant.

Also - I am a CNN lover. That is where I get me facts. The thinking I can do on my own.

P.S. Americans are very religious. Nothing wrong with a little religion on the news. Or being interviewed. Every now and again. I mean how many murder trials are too many?

6. The chitchat wasn't during the funeral
Edited on Fri Apr-08-05 04:25 AM by Piperay
it was the processional as people came in the 'media' gabbed explaining 'it all' but to be fair they pretty much began shutting up as the service is proceeding. I find the whole thing interesting but then I am really into history, all those rituals and traditions going back hundreds of years. Just to think all these traditions go back to the Middle Ages is fascinating and then seeing them, its a once in a life time opportunity.

EDIT: SORRY I was wrong the big 'talking heads' are still yapping on the major networks, they aren't so bad on BBC World they are only talking to translate.

If I hear one more story about how many people are standing in line.... :puke:

:sigh: next week the story will be talking-head blather about who the next pope will be, followed by stories about how many people are gathered outside the Vatican waiting for smoke...

ENOUGH ALREADY -- I'm too POOPED to POPE anymore

16. If there were a full eclipse during the funeral
and it was centered over the Vatican, with no clouds to obscure it, then it might mean something.

But this eclipse may have been cause by someone else's God for some other reason.
