2. First time I read "Despoiling" I started out giggling; ended up shuddering

Yurica's thesis are indeed very unconventional and if given only a cursory glance it would be easy to dismiss them as crackpot...

But if you take the time to actually READ the articles and more importantly, FOLLOW-UP the extensive endnotes (which are often longer than the article proper), you will see that she has in fact made a rock-solid case for her assertions, based on ample evidence from primary sources, the public record, and reputable publications.

4. I don't know if she speaks, or just writes

I think her work is very important, especially the work on Dominionism and the Bible-based critique of Bush and his policies, "Bloodguilty Churches".

Bloodguilty Churches has the potential to strike a major blow to the religious right, by exposing their agenda as non-Christian and as contrary to Biblical teaching. And she is a self-professed 'Spirit filled Christian', so it's not as if some arrogant secular academic with an axe to grind against Christianity is behind the criticisms.

I'd love to see her work get more exposure - whether she gets on AAR, or other talk shows, or even if they just plug her work and talk about it on the air.

My impression is that she is an effective scholar and writer but does not have marketing savvy or does not have adequate resources to do very much marketing. So I plug her work everywhere I can, every chance I get...
