"Pope's funeral was a HIGHLIGHT of my Presidency!"
:wtf:

http://www.voanews.com/english/2005-04-08-voa52.cfm

....Calling it one of the highlights of his presidency, Mr. Bush said what struck him most intensely was the final scene of a plain-looking casket with the sun pouring down on its seal.

3. So the Pope's funeral was arranged for Bush?
Did the Pope plan this timely exit. Please. What a jackass. The funeral had nothing to do with his fraudulency.

7. I'd be embarrassed as hell if I was booed at the pope's funeral!
* should be hanging his head in shame, shame, shame.

I've been very sad about the death of pope John Paul.

May he rest in peace and may the face of * be permanently erased from his everlasting life.

8. Did he say that because he wouldn't have to listen to the Pope
criticize him any more regarding executions, unjust wars,or a better interpretation of Jesus and the Gospels?

Very Freudian

The neocon strategy to ensure their candidate is selected pope
By Wayne Madsen
Online Journal Contributing Writer
April 5, 2005—The international neoconservative movement, already giddy over their bloodying the nose of the United Nations and Secretary General Kofi Annan in the overhyped Iraq "oil for food" brouhaha, the nomination of anti-UN wacko and Jesse Helms sycophant and racist John Bolton as the next US ambassador to the UN, and the comb-licking and dandruff-munching Paul Wolfowitz's selection as World Bank president, is now involving itself in the internecine politics that will highlight the selection of the next pope.

12. I've actually developed a resistance to moronic Bush statements.
It's like he has a new one every day. The idiot can't open his mouth without making some new verbal blunder- and they're always a distinctive mix of stupidity, dyslexia, disinterest, TV culture, and impropriety.

16. Stupid remark, could be taken to mean he's glad the pope's dead
After all, there was that inconvenient business of the Pope opposing torture, the Iraq war, excecution of all those Texas prisoners, so many favorite blivet** hobbies. I LOVED the way Jon Stewart so perfectly caught the administration toadies trying to spin this in the must-see 10 minute video by dzika:
