If Clark announces, how will Repubs attack him ? |
|
And we know they will attack him. He is not immune. It would be naive to think so.
But, in my opinion, they could attack his connections to Bill Clinton? Or the way they went into Kosovo without UN approval? Or they would find something personal about his life to attack. Any ideas?

1. Anything negative in his Officer Efficiency Reports (OER's - an officer yearly report card) will "mysteriously" be leaked to the press.
2. Some officers he uses to work with or for will come forward with something nasty similar to the Arkansas troopers.
3. They'll comb though his book and find anything incorrect.

it will throw the barn doors open for * AWOL dismal military service record, and on top of that someone will have to actually have to come up with * AWOL military records, you know the one that the "dog" apparently ate because it is only one or two pages because it was misplaced. Imagine the pResident of the USA and they can not find his full military file. "Bring it the F*&^ on"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

So far, they've called him "perfumed prince" a "commie" and said he almost started WWIII. I expect next it will be something to do with aliens and a UN takeover.

First of all, they might say he doesn't know what he stands for...since he didn't announce until recently that he was even a Democrat...

and the certainly cannot attack him for leading our forces in Kosovo.
They will attack him for his lack of experience. If this staff is smart, they can easily counter this.

Edited on Tue Sep-16-03 10:37 AM by jumptheshadow
* Plaster the "World War III" sound byte anywhere you can knowing that many people will take it at face value. * Leak word to your RW press sympathizers that the General is a wack job so they can start writing insinuations without any supportive evidence at all. This supports the WW III sound byte and the notion that the guy might not be a trustworthy leader. * Then it's time for the RW generals to make their debut, criticizing Clark's leadership. * Next phase: Roll out any unhappy subordinates. Have them call the radio shows with their stories. It doesn't matter if these people are pushing their own agendas. Again, you're going for sound bytes. * Dredge up any dirt you can. He's from Arkansas and he's a Rhodes scholar. Find a woman -- any woman -- who will claim sexual harassment so you can tar him with the worst Clinton memories. * Try to mention the name "Clinton" whenever you say "Clark."
Dem strategists, you need to be ready to blitz the radio shows with Clark advocates.

John McCain was a similar case (war hero), and that's what Bush's team used against him.
I don't know just how they'd race-bait Clark, but "he's got an illegitmate Vietnamese child" sounds likely.
Just what are Clark's politics? Guys like this make me very uncomfortable. Candidates' actions often differ from their words (see Bush and the "Compassionate Conservative" shit), and without a voting record, there's no way to see if Clark's rhetoric is sincere.

20. Well, someone was just saying on MSNBC that |
|
despite his impressive military credentials, he was "not liked" by his peers in the military. When asked why, the guy clearly couldn't come up with a reason - finally he said Clark was "too ambitious."
If that's all they can come up with, it's clear sailing for Clark... but I have a feeling they'll find worse things to say about him, given more time.

the janitor from the Texas Air National Guard has stated on record that even though he was always hungover and puking, he hit the toilet every time. Jebadiah Knowles, chief maintenance and sanitation technition:
"It was obvious he had alot of experience being hungover. He never got any vomit on the floor. There was also a couple of times he was still drunk from the night before. Our crew would rush to clean the traffic control sector to find out his take off and landing times as well as his flight path, we didn't want to take any chances. But he flew that plane pretty good, drunk and all"
