I wasn't asking about the biological attributes of DUers but about their gender. I know there is a difference.

12. It's actually a little confusing though

since gender is usually discussed in terms of "masculine" or "feminine" while sex is "male" or "female".
You might consider changing it if it's really your intention to ask about gender rather than sex.
