It's WELL worth a look - Boxer and Obama are great, as usual -- And I'll wager you end up admiring Secretary Ford. Especially as he stares down Lugar at the very end of it while Lugar talks about supporting the choice of Bush and Rice.

We've GOT to stop this nomination!

1. Absolitely don't miss it! I watched the re-air this afternoon.
Ford has some awsome statements, and he's very credible! After watching all the testimoney yesterday with Bolton, Ford shot him directly between the eyes today!

Watch it if you can!!!

2. I totally agree with you. I just finished
watching this afternoon's re-air. It was excellent. If Chafee hasn't decided to vote against Bolton after this, he has been threatened, I think.

Yes, indeed, Ford stopped Mel Martinez dead in his tracks. When Ford was done, Martinez has a stricken look on his face and said "Thank you, Mr. Chairman".

For has said that you could make Bolton someone's assistant, put him charge of Cuba stuff, etc., just don't put him in charge of PEOPLE.

After that, George Allen, Norm Coleman, and two other Repukes left, saying they had no other questions.

3. I'm hoping more Pubs than Chafee vote NO.
Ford didn't appear politically biased at all! It didn't matter who was questioning him, and he never wavered from his statements. He made me think there really are some great and honorable people working in the Fed Govt...just not the elected ones!!!!

4. I don't think you'll find those Repubs
who would vote "No" on that Committee. As I noted above, several of them left the hearing. Then when Senator Lugar gave his wrap-up, he sure sounded like Well, Condi and the President want him, so we'll vote for him. This really proves to me AGAIN that the Repubs are not doing anything for this country, they are doing it for Republican Power.

5. So will Bolton get the 60 votes in the Senate?
I have heard in the past that they won't even take a vote if they don't think they can get their 60 votes for a win. That's why I'm thinking that if the Pubs on the committee are told the 60 just aren't there, they may not let his nomination out of committee. That way, Shrub can blame a handful of committee members and give the rest of 'em a pass.

6. If Chafee votes with the Dems, the
nomination will be blocked and won't get to the Senate Floor. It is my understanding, I could be wrong if they decide to filibuster, that it will be an up-or-down vote. Bolton's bound to get the majority of the Repubs to vote for him. Sickening. You know that Liddy Dole does anything they tell her to. So does Murkowski and Coleman, and etc, etc, etc.
