I've figured out why Arnold shouldn't be governor... |
|
As much as I find his dirty talk, orgies and drug use offensive, that isn't the point. We've all done things (not those things, hopefully), that we wish we hadn't done.
Arnold has told us that all the sex talk and bragging and using drugs was to enhance his career at the time as a body-builder. That he doesn't really believe it's okay to be an exhibitionist, a drug-user, a womanizer or promiscuous. But in the context of self-advancement, he asserts, it was a good career move.
Personally, I find that immoral and dangerous, especially if people's trust and lives(as well as the well-being of children)are place into his stewardship. There are some things you simply shouldn't do for self-advancement, no matter how many good things you plan to do later.
Arnold sold out.

1. Plus - what does that say about everything he's saying NOW?? |
|
Not many more "career-enhancing" moves than becoming Chief Executive of the world's sixth(?) largest economy.
He should have been in "Say Anything". <rimshot>

2. I have better reasons: |
|
On Oprah yesterday he went on and on and on about how he is studying constantly trying to learn everything he needs to know. Somebody should tell him that all the studying in the world won't give him the EXPERIENCE he needs....and hasn't got. When she first asked him why he decided to run...his response was that he loves competition. Not a good reason. He also said that when he got tired of body building he needed something new...then he went into acting...now he's losing interest in that. So Arnold needs a new challenge. I hope people are really listening to him!!!! When you compare him to Clinton, Gore and many others who have been working in public service all their lives...I just don't get how anyone could even consider him. Of course, I thought the same about W.

3. I figured that it was just that hes a bozo |
|
and calls himself a republican when he's about as republican as my dog. Coincedentially, my dog is a bozo too.
Davis probably has to go so it'll wind up a Bustamante v McClintock affair now that Arnold has been given time to further define himself as not a particularly good choice.
But I'm still pulling for the pin-up floozy. Talk about well attended press confrences ! Guys will be buying tape recorders and fedoras and showing up in busses.

5. DAVIS AIN'T GOIN NOWHERE |
|
but the governor's mansion in Sacto. Arnie will probably make another movie or two the disappear. Mcclintock will have trouble no as he has to run for state senate in 1000 Oaks and hve to divide his energies. Problems arise with the drivers liscense issue which the pugs will use as a wedge to bring anti mexican voters out in droves like they did with prop 187. It got wilson in the govs mansion , but set the pukes back 10 years with Latino voters, here we go again.

4. I find his need for self-satisfaction at any cost |
|
Edited on Tue Sep-16-03 02:24 PM by Clete
disturbing, whether it's about sex, money or power. He is only stroking his ego. This narcissism is not what I want in a public servant, and I emphasize the word servant. Has anyone explained this to him? One skips from Governor, servant of the people, to King if he approaches a position of power like it was his personal fiefdom.
