Wait...stop for a second and think... |

I'm surprised no one has mentioned this before, but for the first time in what seems like an eternity, we the Democrats actually have some viable, likeable, decent candidates, rather than the usual run of the mill "can't stand em but better than the repub" candidates. And to boot, several of them are actually ahead. For example:
Dean - Enough has been said and he's the front runner. Not a 'clothespin' candidate but a practical progressive.
Clark - I have nothing but respect for a General who fights the good fight, wins and doesn't lose a single soldier.
Edwards - I'm wondering if he's the guy in waiting, being that the press has ignored him pretty much. He's a decent centrist and reminds me a lot of Clinton.
Kerry - He did vote for Iraq, but he regrets his decision. Other than that he's been a pretty solid Democrat in his voting. I wouldn't cry if he won the nomination.
...and the underdogs are pretty good too...
Kucinich - Total progressive - let's hope he gets to be a part of the next administration.
Braun - Again, another good ol' fashioned take care of what needs attention Democrat. I also hope she'll be a part of the next administration.
So with good choices for a chance, I have hope! And to top it off the DLC seems to be losing their grip on the party - probably a result of the 2002 fiasco.

We should all be proud of these people. Like them or not, they are fighting and we need that in this country.

4. I suppose the people you left out weren't done so by accident... |
|
but in general I agree.
This group can produce a range of ideas in the primary race that will make apparent the campaign course needed to bring America back to the people.

17. I didn't mention Sharpton, Gephardt or Lieberman |
|
for personal reasons ;)
Actually I should have added Graham - one of the few out there asking questions about 9/11.

7. Mainly, let's hope Kucinich's message is heard... |
|
by mainstream America...because the republican corporate media is sure as hell ignoring him and doesn't want his ideas out there.

We have 10 candidtes. ALL of them would be better than the cheyney-bush junta. :bounce:
Now, I am going to ask a stupid question that I would appreciate anybody answering. (Yes, there are stupid questions!) :silly:
What is the BFEE?

14. Thank you for that post |

Its good to see someone step back and say, "You know, we have solid people running".
As I watch the debates I envision an administration led by ________ with the other candidates serving in cabinet positions...
That would be great.

15. And don't forget Sharpton |
|
who can rouse a crowd, provide a killer soundbite, and make sense, all at once.
Then there's Graham, who has a stand-up, if moderate, record and is unafraid to call a spade a spade.

A refreshing post about ALL of our candidates?
Can we have this?
What do the rules say?
I'm going to go get my pocket DU rulebook and check this out....
(/sarcasm off)
Thank you for the post. I think we probably have more positive voices than negative ones here at DU, but the negative ones are very, very loud.
