Leaving the average Americans to fend for themselves?
Why are our tough military forces fleeing from Hurricane Isabel's path near Norfolk while many locals are stuck fending for themselves or struggling to find a place to which they can evacuate? Shouldn't the military be staying put in order to aid locals after the hurricane has passed through and caused destruction?

2. Most likely the military people are leaving because
they are human beings and are subject to injury and death the same as anybody else. They'll be back. I used to know some people that were stationed at Norfolk. If you are in the path of the hurricane, for crying out loud, GET OUT OF THERE!

3. But the good news is
Robertson has commanded the storm to turn out to sea.

>snip<
Religious broadcaster Pat Robertson prayed on his Christian Broadcasting Network, based in Virginia Beach, that Isabel would turn from the coast. He asked God to put a "wall of protection" around Virginia Beach and the East Coast.

"In the name of Jesus, we reach out our hand in faith and we command that storm to cease its forward motion to the north and to turn and to go out into the sea," Robertson prayed on "The 700 Club."

Just in case that doesn't work- Please continue with preparations, watch the local weather reports and stay safe everyone.
