1 - I heard the term "K street lobby" on the news today. Can anyone explain to me what that is?
2 - What does the "mark" function at the top of the list of topics do?
Thanks.

2. The street grid in Wash, DC is by alpha and number, K St =expensive |
|
offices where lobbying firms hang out - only a few blocks from the action at the EOB, IMF, WB, Capitol Hill, and a lot of restaurants and bars and shopping.
Ave's in DC generally are diagonal to the Alpha-number system grid, except G Street is New York Ave for a bit - etc. Nowhere near as complicated as Boston and its cow paths!

K street is where lobbyists are housed...over 20,000 or approximately 500 for every member of congress.
