http://grahamforpresident.com/news/displayArticle.php?id=35<<Senator Bob Graham today urged Californians to vote against the recall and stand with Governor Gray Davis as he works to get California back on track. Senator Graham joined Governor Gray Davis in Los Angeles in a show of support during a recent campaign stop in California.
“As a former Governor of a large, complex state myself, I understand very well the challenges in governing a state the size and scope of California,” said Graham. “It’s no secret the Bush Administration has left the states in a crisis with unfunded mandates and significant lack of funding for things like education. Governors all over the country have been put in impossible positions to balance their budgets while attempting to fund critical programs. Governor Davis deserves an ample opportunity to accomplish the goals he set for his second term when he was re-elected last year.”

Senator Graham also applauded the Ninth Circuit Court decision to delay the recall election until March of 2004.
“I am very pleased to know that every Californian has been assured the opportunity to participate in this very important election,” said Graham. “In 2000, thousands of registered voters in Florida were disenfranchised and denied the right to vote in another important election. In this instance, it certainly is nice to see the court rule in favor of protecting that right.”>>
