1. Updates for those of us at work, pleeeeeeze! |
|
I adore Chollie. In fact, my dream presidential ticket ever would have been Barbara Jordan and Charlie Rangle.
Updates, please! I'm at work.

He's one of the unsung heroes of Black America. Folks like Jesse Jackson and even Farrakhan get loads of credit, but Rangel has been out there slugging it out for us for 30-odd years.

4. apparently - he had said that way back when |
|
He says that with everyone else - the Pubs will just say that the person is unpatriotic and a wimp if they criticize Bush or the war.

3. Basically Charlie Rangel is endorsing Clark. |
|
He made a lot of good points about Clark's military record and his own (in the Korean war). He thinks that Clark will be a good antidote to Republican claims that Democrats are weak on defense.

Rangel is very likeable and could be the Democrats opportunity to show they can have a team like this and win. What I am trying to say and I will try to be careful as I say this, unlike other African American Democrat office holders, I believe Rangel can cross the racial divide, maybe not as good as but close to Powells numbers among whites.

I am not a regular viewer because Matthews drives me up the wall, but I had to agree when he said the best recruiting poster for Al-Qaeda is our presence in Iraq. Plus, bringing up the past occupations of the region by other nations, and how Americans may want the war, but aren't willing to pay for it (that has always struck me as typically middle American - something for nothingism).
Luntz should be worried. Imagine putting all your hopes in a Bush!

It's worth watching hardball to see Frank Luntz's face today. O Lordy Lordy Lordy. They're going down HARD!!
The heavy hitters have been all over the telly today. Gillespie has been trying to smooth things over, everywhere.
The center isn't holding, boys. They're going to have to dump Bush to save the party.

You're right that something's up. I wonder if the next batch of polls will show Bush under 50 percent (at least some of them).
