Something Very Interesting Clark Said |
|
I was listening closley to the interview that General Clark did on WBUR (NPR) show, The Connection, back on 10/10/02. Towards the end he, who had not labeled himself either a Republican or a Democrat (even though he had voted democratic in local elections), said that he had been approached by both parties inviting him to run. The thing that jumped out at me when I heard that was that it pointed to a split in loyality in the Republican camp as early as the fall of last year - something that absolutly no one was mentioning at the time. Think about it, why would a party completely satisfied with the shrub be talking to Clark at all? I make no bones about being on the Clark bandwagon myself, and one of the reasons I am is that I think he is the only one who can bring votes over from the Republican side and that along with strong support from his own party makes him the next President. At least I hope so. Anyway, I wanted to point out that little comment of his to see if you all think it is significant.
