2. Aside from a little poking at him
about announcing his candidacy later than the rest, I really doubt that you'll see many attacks on Clark from the other nominees. We'll see, though. We'll see.

3. He'll start whining about Clark's "inexperience" as a politician.
Not a doubt in my mind.

4. Never having held elected office.
I voted Lieberman. He's circling the drain, anyway.

He'll call it "inexperience" though.

6. He'll get a honeymoon until he either makes a
mistake and recovers (thus marking himself as a huge threat), or starts doing exceptionally well in the polls.

8. A Kerry campaign staffer
Will claim that Kerry's Vietnam war medals are better than Clark's. Oops, you asked which CANDIDATE will PUBLICLY attack Clark, so I guess it won't be Kerry after all.

11. strategery
It's a valid point to make if battlefield heroics are a measure of one's capacity for the presidency. And certainly, the candidate can't be the one to say it. It is as valid as any other argument about personal qualities-- especially if a candidate is using his or her military background as their selling point.

9. I think that the press will do enough to hang him
that the others won't need to.

13. Lieberman will call him "weak on defense"
and suggest that General Clark is unqualified to serve as president. He may also suggest that Clark is a far left hippie radical.

14. My guess
I'm guessing Kerry, but Dean or Lieberman are just as good guesses. The question behind the question is, which candidate feels the most entitled to the nomination? John Kerry strikes me as having that sort of noblesse about him. Once he starts losing states, he may feel less inhibited about reminding us that he really is better than us.

But I'd still vote for him over Bush.
