Bush has created an Islamic "revolution"...
Reports are surfacing that many of the young men attacking the Americans are followers and supporters of Osama bin Laden. It is the lifelong lesson of "unforeseen consequences" that has taken hold. One year ago, Osama bin Laden was Osama bin Forgotten, but the invasion of Iraq has breathed new life into his martyrdom and leadership. It is not just in Iraq. It is all over the Arab world. The decision to invade Iraq has united the Arabs as nothing else could do. There is "revolution" in the air and, no doubt, many young Arabs are storming into Iraq to be part of the "revolution".

As they plot to kill the American invaders, the young American troops are led blindly into the trap. They are told they are there to "liberate" the Iraqis. They do not know they are being surrounded by a "revolution" of Islamists from every Arab country. They underestimate their own security and dangerous predicament. So far, they have been lucky.

1. My cousin Charlie predicted this
too bad he also predicted that the "Islamic Revolution" would be a secular, democratic one.

One out of three, Charlie?

2. I think you mean "unintended consequences"

There's nothing "unforeseen" about it, IMHO. The Middle East has been at the "crossroads" for millenia and has seen more invasions and occupations than any other region of the world. The US, under the bleedership of rabid sociopaths, demonstrates all the wisdom of an overgrown juvenile delinquent running amok with daddy's shotgun, disdainfully kicking over beehives in a diabetic search for honey. The bees have dealt with this before.
