Cache of bomb-making materials found in Gettysburg house

Life returned to normal in Gettysburg tonight after police evacuated a four-block area this afternoon, brought in a bomb-sniffing dog and searched a local house, confiscating explosives, guns, knives and bomb-making equipment.

Suspect in Gettysburg explosives case is ex-Army intelligence analyst

A 36-year-old Gettysburg man taken into custody Monday after police found a cache of explosives and weapons in his home was at one time a military intelligence analyst with the U.S. Army. Gettysburg Police Chief Rolf Garcia said that Lance Patrick Greenawalt’s military designation of 96B2P indicates he was a non-commissioned officer with a rank of sergeant who was jump qualified and was trained as an intelligence analyst.

My Kiwanis meeting was on one side of the blocade, the county Dem committee meeting on the other side.
