Did anybody notice......
Edited on Wed Sep-17-03 01:06 PM by TakebackAmerica
That Clark's website is americansforclark.com.
This is a clever play on Dean's deanforamerica.com
Maybe I'm losing my mind but this seems on purpose to me.

4. Darn that Dean
He copyrighted the use of "america" and all its derivates for use in domain names. But he forgot to tell the rest of us.

5. Noticed a few things
Clark was trying to keep the various "draftclark" movements together by trying to address, "liberals conservatives and independents." That's not a position which will sit well with DUers.

Also, he's trying to present the campaign as being very "inclusive" ;probably in keeping with the "draft" movement. Expect a lot of "I've listened to America" in his policy speeches in the next few weeks.

And this, to me at least is bizarre: His campaign seems to be heavily weighted by DLC support and supporters of DLC....but they are attacking Bush in a very uncharacteristic, un-DLC manner.

Did they lose the pink tu-tus?

discussion?

Since I don't have any interest in what's DLC and what's not.

Clark was trying to keep the various "draftclark" movements together by trying to address, "liberals conservatives and independents." That's not a position which will sit well with DUers.

As a concept, appealing to three types of voters sits just fine with this DUer. The more the merrier! (Of course, this might change for me personally if his positions become conservative to a degree where I do not support him over other candidates in the primaries.)

Edit - clarification

12. No offense intended
I just know that appearing moderate on some issues (to appeal to moderates) will upset some of my good friends in the DU family.

13. oh, i wasn't offended at all
Just wanted to add my two cents. And I agree, some people will be offended. (And I'll probably be offended by their offense  - or not, it's just fun to say)

10. I would call Clark the REALLY BIG TENT candidate
He has enough on many issues to appeal to a very broad base, including (gasp) dissatisfied republicans! We need all the votes we can lay our grubby little hands on. I want Bush out. Yesterday.

To hell with the to-tus, this guy is coming at them in a tank.

6. The are both getting the flag back for our party
That's what it's about. Sick of the republikans pretending only THEY are patriotic, only THEY can protect the country, only THEY love this country.
