Carville rouses audience of Democrats
http://www.wvgazette.com/section/News/2003091637
On Election Day 2000, Democratic pundit James Carville sat down to breakfast with his wife, Republican consultant Mary Matalin, and discussed politics.

Matalin predicted Gore would win the vote, Carville said, and then the deficit would explode, the military would get bogged down and the president would lie to protect his friends.

“She was precisely right,” he said, to the cheers of the crowd.

5. Reminds me of an old joke about LBJ and Goldwater
"My father said if I voted for Goldwater, we'd be in a war within a year. I did, and we were."
