6. Thats the White House's official position
Now, at least. They are saying there is no evidence of a link between bin Laden and Hussein, or Hussein and 9/11. Convenient that they say that now, seeing as they worked to convince seventy percent of Americans that there was a link.

16. To be a successful liar, one has to be VERY BRIGHT. Any moron can
tell one lie and maybe get away with it, but to continue the charade requires a hell of a lot more intelligence than this gang of retards possesses.

There's a thread in LBN which claims he's naming Cheney though, as if to shift the blame for making the claim to Cheney...WTF?

13. No Cheney in 2004?
They're probably running out of virgins to sacrifice so Cheney can stay alive. Seriously, I read and hear his health is in the toilet, always has been, and he spends most of his day resting in an undisclosed location.

I don't think he's up to the challenge, physically, of another four years, or even being the veep candidate.

This is *'s opportunity to dump the living dead, lay blame on him for those things that need blaming, let him take his Hallibuton millions, and fade into some evil behind-the-scenes role. Maybe Jeb can be the veep candidate. Bush-Bush 2004. Makes the skin crawl, huh?

14. I was in a state of shock by the time he mentioned Cheney , but
I wouldn't say he blamed Cheney for making the claim but more
blamed him for being unclear that allowed the misunderstanding.
...Does that make sense ...

15. That's funny coming from John King
During the Press Conference before the war in which Bush refused to call on Helen Thomas, it was obvious that he was calling on the reporters in seating order arrangement.

However in order to maintain the facade of spontaninety the reporters still raised their hands and called out even though they knew who was going to be called. One reporter in particular overplayed his hand a bit prompting Bush to admonish him saying "You know John this is scripted".

Of course this was John King, when it finally was John King's turn, Bush was reading from prepared remarks, (as though he already knew the questions beforehand) from the question before and ended his response with "John King".

John King has gone from a pliant punctuation mark, to a real live journalist, this could be the start of something.

Bush: No Proof of Saddam Role in 9-11

By TERENCE HUNT, AP White House Correspondent

WASHINGTON - President Bush said Wednesday there was no evidence that Saddam Hussein was involved in the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001 — disputing an idea held by many Americans.

"There's no question that Saddam Hussein had al-Qaida ties," the president said. But he also said, "We have no evidence that Saddam Hussein was involved with the Sept. 11" attacks.
