Who else here has no REAL legislative representation?
I was just thinking about this as a was reading the dumb-ass letter my state representative sent me after I chewed him out for override a veto on concealed weapons. I essentially have no person in Congress from my region/state at either the state or federal level who actually represents my interests.

My state representative is ideological Republican, my state senator is actually a Democrat, yet a conservative one. My House representative is a Republican, and both senators from Missouri are Republicans.

I'm sure if I studyied in depth the positions of all these people I would agree with them far less than half the time.

I know I'm not the only one in this situation. It really sucks!

2. I'm in a similar situation
Pure GOP reps everywhere I look.

The only one there is any hope for is my state senator, who is a slight maverick (very slight).

It's pretty bad, but then again, I'm in Texas.

7. None here
I live in David Hobson's district in Ohio. That means I have two worthless repug senators and a worthless repug representative. I've written to Hobson several times, and he always answers with an explanation of why he doesn't agree with anything I say. I'd love to see his ass on the business end of a pick breaking rocks.

9. I feel your pain -- but here's a suggestion
I live next door in Wichita, Kansas. Needless to say I feel "and replicate" your pain. Here's a possible solution: Adopt a congressmen or Senator from somewhere else. That's what I've done. I've simply refused to accept Todd Tiahrt (my actual dumb as a stump Republican representative) as my congressmen. Instead, I've adopted Dennis Moore from Kansas City, the one Kansas Democrat in congress.

When he called me once asking for money (he's in constant danger and needs to fund raise to high heavan) I told him this. Later, when he spoke to a group of Democrats in Wichita (his family's here, so he has a lot of Wichita conections), he joked that if any of us felt like we weren't really represented by Tiahrt, that he'd be happy to be our representative in Congress. I don't know, but I like to think he got the idea from me.

15. I got Jon Kyl and John McCain in the Senate
plus Jim Kolbe in the House and a list of clowns follow him. Raul Grijalva is a pretty good Demo rep, I guess. McCain is ok, but that doesn't exactly cut it too well when Kyl does so much damage that anything good anybody else might do can't come close to evening it out. McCain is frighteningly conservative at times, while Kyl is about as far right as it gets.
