Memo to the troops in Iraq -- "nothing to do w/911"....signed Shrub
I just heard Keith Olberman on CNBC discuss this rhetorical need. The guest was "not ready" for such a question.

Imagine...your getting shot at daily...as a soldier you are "getting back" for 911...and your commander in chief (aka ...bunnypants) has just stated:

" there is no Iraq / 911 connection"

I guess there might be a few unhappy troops.

1. But wait look at this CNN story from January 30
courtesy of Brazosboomer and another thread:

..."The Bush administration has been trying for months to link Iraq with al Qaeda, the organization that coordinated the September 11, 2001, attacks that claimed about 3,000 lives. Its leader, Osama bin Laden, has been the subject of a extended manhunt...Bush said Wednesday that Saddam could use al Qaeda as a "forward army" that could attack the United States with weapons of mass destruction "and never leave a fingerprint behind." ...Iraq has adamantly denied the president's allegations...."

So he NEVER said it? Like hell, right there it is on CNN.

Bush was lying then or lying now, which is it?? One or the other, Chimpy.
