Gergen explained the new "no Saddam-911 connection" shtick |
|
Edited on Wed Sep-17-03 08:07 PM by grasswire
David Gergen, on MSNBC.
He said that the WH is carefully and meticulously "walking back" from its earlier statements implying connections between 911-Saddam. Why? To take the issue away from Dems. He said the Bushies are "re-calibrating" and trying to wipe away the impressions made earlier, for reasons of politics.
I wonder why he just can't call it lying about propaganda.

2. There's no wiping it away... |

with all the major speeches and interviews where it's obvious what they were up to. I can just see the sound bites strung together where they're all on the same page of talking points week in and week out, leading up to the war. Nope, no recalibration is possible.

4. OK, but what explains Cheney's MTP appearance? |
|
Did he miss the strategy memo?

5. Or maybe he's not on the circulation list anymore, |

and I was wondering which one of the liars Rover was going to throw to the wolves. Anyone notice how uncomfortable Cheney looked while he was lying away on MTP? Almost as though he was tired of the whole schtick. I thought they'd toss Condiliar but I was thinking small, I guess. Seems like maybe Dickless is being cut from the herd...
