A Conspiracy to Destroy the United States
It's all clear to me now. Bush will be the last President of the United States, because the United States will be destroyed by those proclaiming to represent it.

Flat Taxes
Pro-Business, Anti-Law Judicial Nominees
Bills defending RW Religion
"State's Rights"

I think their plan is to break the United States down into Plutocratic City-States. Watch Federal Programs start dropping like flies in the near future (It's actually already proposed due to Bush's Sunset Commission). This will in a sense make the Federal Government weaker and weaker. When this happens and America has had a taste of this RW Plan for long enough, the country will start to collapse.

The problem is this: After this happens, the 'christian' Rightists will take over this New America by force, if necessary. There is no denying that the 'christian' Right is wealthy (doesn't this violate one of the tenets of Christianity?). The 'christian' Rightists are also already united, thanks to the CNP and other groups. The 'christian' Rightists can also command fanatics at a speed akin to that of OBL or any 'islamic' terrorist leader, but I think they are biding their time and waiting for the right moment.

1. I knew that
Bush will crash the economy, blame liberals, and let Christians hunt people down and kill them for no reason other than being different. Then a grand theocracy will appear so Jesus can return.

7. I plan to fight back, and give as good as I get. What will you do?
So will you stand by and do nothing, will you wait for the thugs to kick in your door, and take you and your family away into the night to never be seen again?

Or, will you fight, will you resist, will you open fire on these fanatics when they come into your sights?

Don't assume that all of the military or law enforcement is behind this group of psychopaths. I don't believe they are, not all of them.
They have as much to lose as any of us here at DU, and they won't let a bunch of religious fanatics try to take away what it has been their duty to protect.

Most of the Blue States will rise up against them, as will some of the Western States. Arizona isn't ruled by church law yet, there are
Republicans here, but they also believe in Freedom.

And that's the main thing, as long as Americans maintain their belief in Freedom, they can resist.

Besides, if the Christian Taliban want it, they better be willing to shed their own blood, and from what I've seen they aren't that willing to go to that level.

The difference between these Christian fanatics and their Islamic counterparts, is that the Islamist believe in their cause, the Christians don't have any belief, or any real faith, for the most part.

8. Indeed, there are things worth
fighting for. One's family is an obvious example. And I would agree that America is worth fighting for.

I think it is fair to ask, to paraphrase Minister Malcolm X, "How far are you willing to go?"

To think in terms of fighting with guns and bullets is, in my humble opinion, unrealistic. Surely, if a criminal is breaking into your home, you have the right to defend yourself and your own. But what is happening in America today isn't that type of situation at all.

It is a battle involving our form of government: will the Constitution survive? Will the separation of church and state remain intact? Will there be a balance of powers in the federal government? These are real issues that require serious people to consider how far they are willing to go. How much is it worth to people?

2. If They Want it, Then They have to be Willing to Die For it
Then the Christian Taliban will have to fight and die if they want it that badly. I for one will help them to realize the "Rapture" they
all seem to look forward too.

They command mostly sheep, sheep who do not possess the courage for hardship, sheep who are out of their element when their masters are not nearby to give them instructions.

Yes, I will admit that they have a hard core element, but most of them are members of militias or racist groups who will want power as well, and the leaders of the Christian Taliban, like their Islamist counterparts don't share power.

Perhaps the time is coming when we, the real Patriots will have to do the very same thing that the Founders did, in order to form a more perfect union?

And maybe that time is closer then we thought it was?

3. It's probably what they'd like to do, but...
We can't sit around worrying about it constantly. They want people to be scared of them. We have to be brave and strong and we will win in the end.

4. Scared of them?
They are making me FURIOUS. Angry people don't cower. After so many of these things they have done recently, I wish I could punch them in the face.

5. The Dominionist Conspiracy Exposed - their religious, economic and social
agenda are all laid out in great detail by Katherine Yurica, who has been following the conspirators for over 30 years.

Fundamentalist Radical Clerics such as Falwell, Dobson, and Robertson are not merely medieval throwbacks or misguided religious hacks. They are part of a well organized subversionary movement known as "Dominionism". Dominionism constitutes a serious threat to American Democracy. These Radical Clerics have developed and are executing a detailed plan to gradually replace the free, secular democratic society of the United States with a Theocracy.

6. This may be their "pipe dream" but the lack the skill or courage.
One generalization about bloviating loud mouths is that those behaviors usually mask a deep fear and sense of inadequacy. Can you see Tom DeLay fighting anything other than bug? Or any right wing pundit. They would have to fight people who have some serious attitude and fight all the time or practice the same. I don't think they'd last long. Let them have their fantasies. Their failures are making the * people and right wing so reviled, they'll be lucky to be able to admit they were * "sheeple" in 6 to 12 months.

The real issue is not the conspiracy, we know that there are groups of people working together to rip off the country. The real issue is motivating the majority of Americans to a point of outrage so the thieves in the night can just skulk off and leave the rest of us alone.

9. I read a great MLK quote today that applies to your last sentence
"History will have to record that the greatest tragedy of this period of social transition was not the strident clamor of bad people,
but the appalling silence of good people."

- Martin Luther King, Jr.

10. You're forgetting something: They are enormous cowards
I have never known a fundie right-winger who wasn't a trembling coward. Not a one. They are big heroes when in the company of their fair-weather friends, but when confronted by someone with even a handful of guts, they scatter like roaches in the sunlight.

These people are afraid that immigrants want to take their jobs or the taxable portion of their hard-earned paychecks. They are afraid that gay people will somehow "turn them gay" as well. They are terrified of death, and they hope and pray for a "rapturous" escape from the horror of dying. They are afraid of EVERYTHING. Indeed, this bone-shattering fear they carry around with them is the reason they are the way they are.

11. Absolutely.
That's why they have that gnawing need to push their narrow morals on everyone. I gives them the validation that they need. I actually like the looks on their faces when I tell them I'm an atheist. You see just for a second, right below the surface, that "maybe he's right" fear that makes them wonder if maybe they are being hoodwinked. But then, it only reaffirms their faith, because if it weren't for the support of their beliefs, they'd be the biggest suckers on the planet.

13. And they are afraid of the ultimate retribution.....
Karma is a double edged sword and the end of "War on Terror" is going to ensnare them all.

Tom DeLay said the time will come for judges to answer to their behavior, but it seems DeLay's own behavior is that of the most extremist fundie in the land and he will answer to it instead.
