Poll question: How many have Clark as #1 or #2 on their list? (poll)
Edited on Wed Sep-17-03 09:45 PM by tjdee
Just curious...seems like most of us like the guy more than 8 of the others, even though he's not been running as long.

I should say, he starts out at #2 with me, although I do feel like I need to need more about him.

3. Yeah, it's a good choice.
After all, he's only been running officially for not even a day!

4. Prediction
He will move to the top spot by December. Dean won't be able to touch him in a debate. I may be wrong, but this guy is something. I saw him tonight. If he has a monumental ego, he hides it very well. This guy can think thoughtfully, intelligently, and persuasively all off-the-cuff, or seemingly so.

There is no anger schtick, no brashness. Just calm, quiet confidence. Geez what a difference and what a joy to see in a presidential candidate.

6. Clark needs to meet ASAP with Begala/Carville, IMO.
Maybe a speechwriter?

He needs the slightest bit of tweaking--he's great in sit downs/conversations, but he needs a bit of work on the stumps (I'm sure he knows this), from what I saw today...for an inexperienced guy he does very well, but some polishing up will make the shine all the brighter and all that.

I think if he works on that, by December I think your prediction may be right on, I agree with your assessment. Even without the tweaking I think you may be right. He starts out so highly with all of us, already. I'm still looking for my guy to make a breakout though, he's easily the best speaker of the group and has a lot of great things to say (yes, I'm biased).

5. He was #2 on my list
Dean was Number 1, Clark 2nd. I just couldn't put my efforts behind someone who wasn't official. Now that Clark is official, he's #1 in my book now.
