Now that a lot of our software is outsourced, how can we |
|
be sure some Indian, or Pakistani hasn't slipped in some code that enables foreign powers to attack us or gain a competitive edge through industrial espionage?

1. Every project I know of that has been shipped off to India |
|
has failed and had to be redone here. At least for the companies I know the experiment is over and it cost them more money to try to send to India. I wouldn't worry about them adding code slighly we couldn't detect, I would just worry about the stuff working. Note: the crux of the problem with sending stuff there is the cheap workers are those without experience, they hire on to get the experience and quickly move on to a better paying job when they can.

2. The hostility to education by bush is going to hurt our software |

companies, forcing us to continue relying on foreign coders.
Still the chance of industrial espionage is higher by using foreign nationals.
