"Soros...is mounting a campaign to unseat Bush for what he sees as the administration's misuse of power, Canada's National Post reported.
"You passed the U.S.A. Patriot Act without proper discussion," Soros said in a recent interview with PBS. "Anyone who opposed it was accused of giving aid and comfort to the terrorists. I think we've gone off the rail in this country. Lawmakers didn't even get a copy of the bill. They couldn't even read it before it was passed."
- Good luck Mr. Soros...but even the Democrats don't want to admit they signed on to this crap under pressure and without reading it.

berate Mr. Soros for only giving $10 million - a drop in the bucket for him? How many people lost money in 1992 so he could make $1 billion in one day? <sarcasm off>
Seriously, though, I'm thankful that he's on our side. Need to get that scrubby shrub back to Crawford.

6. Shrub's actually not from Crawford. |

The family of Connnecticut carpet-baggers migrated to Midland-Odessa which a hard days drive from Crawford. The family isn't well thought of back "home" either........too many business types were screwed or run over by taxi cabs.

As a person born and raised in Texas (about 7th generation), I have always been more than a little ticked off that he keeps claiming to be from here. It makes the rest of us look bad.

Soros is saying all the right things, everything that we want to hear. But he is not our friend. His agenda is remove the current administration to install his own. He is a Bildeberger, the Elite of the Elite. If you are curious about the agenda just google Bildeberger and/or Bildeberger, Soros.
on edit

I agree. I posted about Soros last night on the 'Truths to Live By' thread. The relevant excerpt:
What is Wesley Clark all about? Running a 'namebase.org' search turns up close ties to mega-billionaire George Soros. I don't know what George Soros is all about either. Oh, sure, I know that Soros beats Richard Mellon Scaife any day, and I like the sound of Soros' 'Open Society Institute' and his charitable attitude.. But I don't like the $100 MM he invested in the Carlyle Group.
I get the feeling that "we the people" need to understand the Scaifes and Soros and their few brethren even more than we need to understand the Clintons and Clarks, the Kerrys and Edwards, the Cheneys and Rices of the world.
I run across this: Soros deems a society "open" not if it respects human rights and basic freedoms, but if it is "open" for him and his associates to make money. And, indeed, Soros has made money in every country he has helped to prise "open". In Kosovo, for example, he has invested $50m in an attempt to gain control of the Trepca mine complex, where there are vast reserves of gold, silver, lead and other minerals estimated to be worth in the region of $5bn. He thus copied a pattern he has deployed to great effect over the whole of eastern Europe: of advocating "shock therapy" and "economic reform", then swooping in with his associates to buy valuable state assets at knock-down prices. www.mindfully.org/WTO/2003/George-Soros-Statesman2jun03.htm
