Bush v Hurricane----oh, this could get good...........
I assume that our fearless leader will be having federal officials standing on every corner of every area hit by the hurricane that is starting to slam into our Southland (that's SOUTHland). I assume they will be handing out checks for whatever amount of money a person requests, that they will make sure electricity is retored within 10 minutes of going down, that they will have a new home built or all home repairs done before the storm is even finished, and I assume that if a person wants a massage during the storm that Ridge will give it to them personally to keep them happy.

Bush has to be quaking. He didn't need this as a footnote attached to his 87 billion dollar handout to Iraq (and counting)-- bad timing. Quaranteed people are going to bitch since this is not a common hurricane but a bad one and, thus, much damage. And this is where billions for devestated Iraqis is going to turn into murderous rage at "what the hell are we sending all that money over there when we have all this mess over here--what's our government doing for us?"!!! The Southland is Bush Territory. Bush does not need it railing at him. How many more defenders of the regime will be damning them within days of this storm??? How many stories of folks screaming, "where is our government--where is this Homeland Security farce"?? Sometimes I do believe that God gets involved in politics. Who knows, this could end up being Bush's "blow job".

2. I feel bad for the people who will be affected
but there does seem to be some poetic comeupance for B*sh on the way. I just hope that nobody's life is too badly upended only to find out that the federal money that could've helped them in their hour of need has already been diverted to Halliburton's coffers.

4. Isabel is a perfect metaphor
for the other "perfect storms" heading Bush's way. I just love seeing mother nature force Bush to flee, like the lily-livered coward he is.

5. Not to mention that he left town last night to get away from it
Edited on Thu Sep-18-03 08:56 AM by Enraged_Ape
But I'm sure he'll turn up on a pile of rubble next week holding his fucking bullhorn.

ON EDIT: It just dawned on me that "bullhorn" takes on a whole new ironic meaning with this guy.

(sung to the tune of "Please forgive me Lord, for chasing that hooker around that car in my skivies. I have SINNED before yoo!")

and is he doesn't, then its because of Bill Clinton's humdinger.

Jesus is mighty pissed at ol Slick Willy's humdinger, and he just might take it out on you!

So send me a small donation, and I'll personally tell Jesus that you aint never seen Bill's humdinger. Jesus and me, we're homies. I talk, he listens, you write the checks.

Lemme have an Amen!

9. Heading for the bunkers already:

Later Wednesday, Bush flew to Camp David, Md., a day early because of the approach of Hurricane Isabel.
snip
That period is exactly when the brunt of the storm was expected to reach the Washington area.

10. But didn't you know the RED states don't want government help
They all will say "We don't need no stinkin guvment" We have "Our Money" not Guvment's money. We is self sufficient. Yes thats the ticket. Red States who use almost two to one government monies over Blue States although Blue States contribute much more in total. I'll be waiting for the squeels of the hypocrites.

12. They sure got $$$ to us fast here in Tiny Town after the fires we had
and the shrubster took 82% of the vote in this county! (We use pencils here, by the way.) Let me tell ya, when the powers that be cut loose with the cash that fast, in a small, and mostly republican population like my remote area, they are running scared!

And judging from the bits of conversations I hear around here, the vote will not be 82% next time out. Oh, they'll cash the checks alright, but they also have family in Iraq and are getting news that isn't approved by the management of CNN! They cashed the rebate checks in July too, but the looks on their faces spoke volumns. They knew it was bribe money and they were disgusted at using it, but they also had grocery bills to pay and school clothes to buy in a rotten economy.

13. A Homeland imp was on yesterday, and was jumping out of
the screen, telling the CNN newsreader that "they" will be there and it was so odd. The guy says, and I am paraphrasing..."even if they built in an area that was questionable, we will get them rebuilt right away".

You are right, the ATM's are being loaded now. No pin required.

14. Well, Starpass, it's not Bush's Solid South: NC has a Democratic Governor
Virginia has a Repug one. Then there Pennsylvania, Maryland, New York and DC which will be affected, maybe parts of NJ depending on where the storm goes.

So, this is really a "Mid-Atlantic States" hurricane. And, there's no way we in NC are going to get extra money from Bush with a Dem Governor and a Dem Senator running for President. Virginia may get plenty of help given Falwell and the hotbed of Repugs in that state, including the mighty John Warner. But that's only two Southern States.
