Anyone know what Freak Republic's reaction is to *'s "No Iraq-9/11 ties" ?
Since our learned friends in the enemy camp were all screaming for their Great Fuhrer to lead us into the Iraqi quagmire because each and every Iraqi was directly responsible for 9/22, and saying that, if their "Savior" was wrong and deceived them they'd admit it and demand accountability, I was just curious to see if anyone knows what's happening over at Happy Acres, aka Der Frei Republik, aka Free Republic, now that the truth is finally coming out. Are they admitting that they were duped and ranting against Shrub? Something tells me no, that they're screaming about how it's all Klintoon's fault, and a "librul" deception, etc., etc.!

11. What was the "Do You Remember"
crap? I've probably seen it, but don't remember what it was called, since I am, unfortunately, exposed to a lot of RW wingnut email propoganda and they all tend to sound the same after awhile.

14. Prior to bush statement yesterday
Edited on Thu Sep-18-03 10:54 AM by proud patriot
about Saddam not being connected to 9/11 ,
Most RWers would say while debating the Iraq Invasion
"Do you remember Sept. 11th ?" like somehow
those opposed to the Iraq Invasion forgot sept.11th.

6. I've already heard the spin - "We never made the statement
that Saddam was involved in 9/11."

Just announcing Osama bin Laden and Saddam in the same sentence, or 9/11 and Iraq in the same sentence, or constantly trying to tell everybody that Saddam continually funded terrorists . . .

Two words for these slime who try to dismiss the "connection":

"How Clintonesque."

18. It depends on what your definition of “is” is.
It would make my day if one commentator said those words.

10. I've heard the spin.
It's, "no- we didn't say he was connected to 9-11. They said he was connected to Al Qaeda. And he is, because a member of Al Qaeda went to Baghdad to get a medical procedure once". And then they mention the Ansar al Islam camp in Kurdish territory (but don't mention the Kurds).

Just as shameless and dishonest as ever.

12. It was mixed
The threads on GWB's statement got very little activity. Less than two dozen comments.

The day before when Condi said there was no link there were hundreds of posts. Half the posters said yes there was a link and Condi was wrong. The other half said GWB never said there was a link so Condi was right.

But like I said, it got very quiet the next day. Most of the couple of dozen posts were parsing GWB's statements as usual.

13. I tried to find out.
Basically, they're in denial. Somebody posted that even Condi Rice had admitted no connection (they can't bring themselves to admit the Bush denial) and that person got shouted down.
