They plan to blame Clark and Kosovo for 9/11.
And to do that they must now make it clear that it wasn’t Iraq. They will take the short term hit so that they can stop Clark with the charge later. The problem is that they are going to lose more public trust on this than they calculate. The public memory is very short, but this is different.

I know one thread in Freeperville does not a new talking point make, but it does make sense.

Kosovo had more to do with 9/11 than Iraq and you're calling me a tin foil hat conspirist? hahahah

Well, if you aren't satisfied with the reams of linkages between Iraq, AQ and 9/11, then you can certainly understand why I am not satisfied with your contention that "Kosovo and the KLA had more to do with 9/11 than Saddam ever did".

You sleep tight too - you'll need to unwrap the tinfoil from your head which is obviously wound a little too tightly.

If you ever decide to get serious, here is a good place to start--not that you will, but for others who are lurking.

Introduction:

These articles focus on activities in Kosovo and Albania by Osama bin Laden and his crowd of Islamic Fundamentalist terrorists, allying themselves with the KLA --Kosovo Liberation Army-- from the summer of 1998 on.

1. I get it
So it wasn't Iraqi's or Saudi's who launched the attack, it was the Albanians!

2. Michael Savage was ripping him lsat night for Kosovo
he said something to the effect of "He threw his hat in the ring for the Presidency, I feel it's only right to inform the public he is a rotten war criminal" He also called Wolfowitz a small pimp which i liked.

3. This is good to know
I don't know much about the Kosovo situation, but honestly -- I *will* turn into one of those arrogant elitists who calls people "sheeple" if the American public buys into that.

"Bush was just misled about the Iraq/Bin Laden connection, can't you see the connection to Clinton's peni-- I mean, Kosovo? Poor Bush." :eyes:

4. Pretty tenuous train of thought...no ridiculous!

I'm not a Clark fan but connecting the events of September 11, 2001 with the military action in Kosovo smacks of tin-foil hat conspiracy. Totally nonsensical

10. I’m not suggesting that it’s true.
Of coarse it isn’t. My point is that they will start making the charge in a few months once the brouhaha about the 9/11-Iraq connection dies down.

As far as Clark is concerned, I don’t know if he has a chance either in the primary or the general, but I do know the right is petrified of him. Rush has been trashing Clark all day and didn’t let up yesterday (or that’s the way it seemed in the 30 second sprints I and able to listen to Rush). The fact that he worries them makes the hypothesis that they will tar Clark as “soft” on A-Q all the more possible.

5. Clinton by Association
...here we go with the syllogisms:

Clinton was responsible for x
Clark served under Clinton

therefore:

Clark was responsible for x

6. If I remember correctly
there were no KLA hijackers on any of those planes on 9/11.

Nice try, but the reasoning sucks.

they were responsible for Sept 11th, and oh yeah, its also Clintons fault

8. Hmmm, the Kosovo had the backing of multi-national support
(just like driving Saddam's forces out of Kuwait).

The INVASION of Iraq didn't, unless you count countries which have a GDP of $12.95.
