Seabiscuit is coming up around the corner....
Clark is over 20,000 in meetups and has pulled
way past Kucinich and Kerry. That is amazing.

2. he has a better marketing team
I went to sign up for a meet-up and they wanted to charge me twenty bucks. I didn't sign up. I am going to guess a lot of other voters have not either.

5. Did you go to meetup.com?
It sounds like someone's running a scam--the meet-ups at meetup.com (any kind) are supposed to be free. I signed up not too long ago and wasn't asked for any money. Hmmm . . .

6. Cheswick, you can sign up without paying.
They recruit people to join, but it isn't a requirement. I only just paid for a membership and I've been to two Kucinich meetups. When you sign up for free, it just allows you to commit to going to the meetup and vote for one of the proposed venues. I went ahead and joined because I've been selected as our local volunteer coordinator and contact person. I decided I needed a way for new volunteers to reach me easily from the meetup site so I paid.

You should get an option of "No Thanks" or something like that when the page comes up asking you to join. Hit that and it takes you to the list of venues or your profile form, one or the other.

4. Seabiscuit had talent in his specialty, horse racing, Clark is a fish
out of water in the political arena.

Howard Dean has demonstrated the Seabiscuit talent of coming from the back of the field to the forefront. Dean started with $157,000 and by end of 2nd QTR 2003 had $10.1 million, and he is on target for another $10-15 million. Must be due to that investment banker training he had.

Also, Dean has wisely tapped into and channeled the anger of Democrats and Independents over Bush and the Dem leadership caving into Bush into a movement of constructive change. It is Dean, not Clark or Clinton, who will give birth to the Emerging Democratic Majority.
