I AM SICK AND TIRED OF ALL THE BASHING GOING ON!!! |
|
For the love of all that's holy why in the world must we bash each other's candidates?? Aren't the rethuglicans going to do that for us? Why feed the flames? Pick a guy, or gal, and focus all of your positive energy on that person's success...The negative stuff should be left for the cadre of crooks in Al Gore's house....
Instead of bashing the other guy, tell us why YOUR guy is better...
This constant bickering and infighting is unseemly and unproductive...and it has to stop...
The absolute bottom line is that * has to go next year and we owe it to ourselves, our children, and this great country to put forth the best, most positive and upbeat candidate we can...and you don't do that by tearing everyone else down in order to build your guy/gal up...
here endeth the rant...

14. Well some might think...Kerry is "another story" or Dean or Clark... |
|
I might think Dickless Geppy is "another story"
So who wants to set the guidelines?
Mind your own store and ignore or agree with others as you please...don't set guidelines for others with YOUR beliefs as gospel.
Who are you?

3. You think this is "bashing"? |

Methinks some thicker skins would well serve a lot of people here.

4. Face it--all our candidates SUCK |

Yes, folks, for each one of them there is an absolute bottom line, barf-inducing, ohmygodhowcanyousupportthatbastard error to be found somewhere in his/her resume!
I make the following exciting proposal: let's compile a big list of why each of our candidates is completely unelectable and unworthy to run, and send it over as a nice capitulation gift to Free Republic.
"Here ya go guys. You're right, we've decided none of our guys is worthy. So we're just throwing in the towel. From now on DU will dedicate itself to innocuous pastimes such as knitting and handcrafts. Thank you for having been right all along."
Alternatively, we could try giving up the hyper-perfectionist self-immolations that have reached many new lows in the last week or so. But where's the fun in that?

10. Hey..."Fun" counts for a lot |
|
BTW Dr: I read throught a few of your posts in the wee hours of last night/AM. Very funny stuff and glad to see you "back in the mix" here. :hi: On a more serious note: I thought your speculations on the recent machinations of the WH spin machine were downright intriguing and most likely will be proven accurate. :-(
But remember: FUN counts for a lot!

I agree with you, I think the candidates spend to much time appealing to a Jenny Jones/Jerry Springer nation.

6. Do you really think all the posters here have the best interests |
|
of the Democratic Party in mind? Of course not. There are more than a few that are quite happy to smear and insult every candidate, careful to stay away from the one whose avatar they use as a shield.
It's up to all of us to keep reminding the community of this point. Frankly, any of our candidates running have a better vision and the interests of America are better served than the criminal fraud who defiles the WH today.
For those that are truly passionate about their choice, I hope they can refrain from smearing their opposition......
It would be nice to have avatars with our choice of candidate, but with an "ABB" logo included...as a reminder that the most important task for us is to show solidarity for any candidate who is able to win the primaries and gain the nomination.
