...Clark doesn't. . .YET! But it could be. If this happens. . .the money is not too far behind. . .TAKE THIS MAN SERIOUSLY!!!!

-snip-
Rep. Marion Berry, a fellow Arkansas Democrat who is lining up support for Clark on Capitol Hill, said more than 30 members of Congress have told him they will back the former general. The only other Democratic presidential candidate who can match that is former House Minority Leader Dick Gephardt.

Clark plans to visit Capitol Hill next week in an effort to line up even more support, Berry said. He said he expects close to 50 lawmakers will be ready to endorse Clark by then, including more than half of the "Blue Dog" coalition of centrist Democrats as well as more liberal members.

1. Gephardt has a bunch
He is the clear leader in congressional endorsements as of now. I don't know how many Clark will get, I would be impressed if he was able to get more than Gephardt.

5. so let us know when he actually HAS the endorsements
according to this thread started yesterday by a clark supporter rumormill clark to get 30-40 congressional endorsements ,
the endorsements were supposed to be announced "tomorrow", ie, today. but i haven't seen it.

i see now that the story has changed. instead of it being "tomorrow" (posted yesterday), the rumor du jour is that the endorsements will happen "next week". bah. i'm sick of this stealth candidacy and campaigning by rumors.

there have been too many false pro-Clark rumors floating around. "he's going to announce in a few weeks", "he's going to announce by labor day", "he's going to announce on hardball", "Michael Moore endorsed Clark", "he'll have all his positions written out by the time he announces"... i think intelligent people should try to ignore any pro-Clark rumors until we get real, hard facts.

let us know when Clark actually HAS the endorsements.
