piles of naked dead bodies
shown over and over, to remind us all of the horrors of the holocaust.
but it is deemed to be in poor taste to show us flag draped caskets, dead civilians, wounded warriors, bombed out homes.
we see the mangled remains of vehicles (suicidal insurgents)

psyops perfected

4. most of them were told they were just going to be moved, or relocated
most were duped, the ones that resisted were either forced to comply or shot on the spot, not too much defending can be done in that situation.

6. Vietnam
The Rethugs learned their lesson from Vietnam. They know if they show the realities of war, more people will be against it. So, they show the "shock and awe" and other "cool movie effects" and completely de-personalize the entire situation. If bodies of soldiers started showing up, then it becomes personal. Some would even be swayed by the pictures of dead Iraqis and bombed out buildings, but given the level of hate in this country, those pictures would carry very little weight. They show the "mangled remains of" insurgent "vehicles" because this is a focal point for hating them as the enemy, and de-humanizing the Iraqi people.
